Champion marine wildlife and create positive change within your club, group, or organisation, as part of our Secrets of the Solent project.

This role involves sharing information and demonstrating best practice in order to inspire your peers or colleagues about marine issues. You’ll be an enthusiastic voice for change, proposing practical improvements and empowering others to adopt them.

This role is part of our Heritage Lottery funded-project Secrets of the Solent, which is celebrating the amazing wildlife and people that share the Solent’s coast and waters. Becoming a Marine Ambassador is a great way to support this brilliant project while also gaining new skills and wildlife knowledge.

You don’t need any particular background or experience for this role, just a passion for wildlife and a love for the Solent environment. You’ll receive full training to prepare you, and ongoing support from the project team. Depending on what activities you’re involved with, we might also ask you to undergo a DBS check.
