National Marine Week

National Marine Week is The Wildlife Trusts’ nationwide celebration of all things marine. Despite the name, it lasts 15 fun-filled days to allow for the variation in tide times around the country.

Solent Seagrass Restoration Project

To work towards our vision of a wilder future and 30% of land and sea restored for nature Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust has joined forces with Boskalis Westminster to undertake a seagrass restoration project within the Solent.

Solent Seascape Project

The Trust, in partnership with nine other organisations, is actively restoring seagrass meadows, oyster reefs, saltmarsh, and seabird nesting habitats in the Solent. We're collaborating with landowners and regulators to enhance habitat protection, scientifically monitoring the benefits of our restoration efforts, and working with local communities and sea-users to foster greater engagement with the marine environment.
