Manage Your Volunteering

Thank you for volunteering with us. Volunteers are at the heart of what we do, and we're grateful for the time, skills and enthusiasm you bring to our work.

To help make volunteering easier and more flexible, we're introducing Assemble, our new volunteer management platform. Through Assemble, you'll be able to find and book volunteering opportunities, sign up for training and events, update your details, access resources, and stay connected with the latest volunteer news and updates, all in one place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you introducing a volunteer platform?

We are introducing Assemble to make volunteering with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust simpler, more connected and easier to manage. It will bring information together in one place, so you can keep your details up to date, see opportunities, book onto work parties and events, follow Trust news and volunteering updates, and celebrate the difference volunteers make. You will be able to manage your volunteering at a time that suits you. Assemble is intended to support your volunteering, not add a burden. We will provide guidance and friendly help, including support for anyone less confident using digital systems.

Will my data be safe in Assemble?

Yes. This is very important to the Trust and to you. Assemble follows UK data protection requirements, with secure access controls. You can view, update and manage your information, privacy settings and consent, helping you stay confident and in control.

What if I'm not confident using online systems?

Don't worry. We understand everybody has different levels of confidence and experience with technology. The portal has been designed to be straightforward to use but additional support is available if you need it. The orange Full User Guide link above shows you every step. If you need further assistance, please contact the Volunteering Team at volunteer@hiwwt.org.uk and we'll be happy to help.

How do I access?

You can access Assemble in two ways. Either click on the orange Access the Assemble platform link above to be taken to the secure volunteer management platform. Alternatively, search for the ‘Welcome to Assemble’ email which contains a link and detailed instructions.

What do I need in order to use Assemble?

To access Assemble, you will need either a computer, tablet or a smartphone with internet connection and a browser (we recommend a modern browser, such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari). Alternatively, you can use the Assemble mobile app.

I don't have an email address - can I still register?

Yes, you can still register on Assemble by providing us with alternative details. Please contact your volunteer line manager who can register you using a username and password.

I already use Assemble in another organisation. Do I need to create a new account for each organisation? Will the Trust see activity with others?

You only need one Assemble account, you can use the same login to volunteer with multiple organisations that use Assemble. The Trust will only see information and activities relevant to Trust role and activities. If any of your personal details change, please remember to update them with each organisation you volunteer with to ensure their records remain accurate and up to date.
