Young Marine Champions

Being a Young Marine Champion is a great way to support Secrets of the Solent in greater depth, while also gaining valuable knowledge and skills. As a Champion, you'll play a vital role in protecting our amazing local marine wildlife for many years to come.

What do you have to do? Use our online training to learn about our local waters and how you can create a positive impact. Then help spread the word! Inform and inspire your fellow students and young people about the Solent and its wildlife. You might suggest ideas for avoiding single-use plastics, share surprising facts about local marine species, or organise a marine-themed event for everyone at your school to enjoy.

These resources are part of our Heritage Lottery funded-project Secrets of the Solent, which is celebrating the amazing wildlife and people that share the Solent’s coast and waters. Becoming a Young Marine Champion is a great way to support this brilliant project while also gaining new skills and wildlife knowledge.
