The Trust is leading efforts to protect and restore vital seagrass meadows through the Solent Seagrass Restoration and Solent Seascape Projects. These underwater habitats support diverse marine life, combat climate change, improve water quality, and protect coastlines - but up to 90% have been lost in the past century. This summer, the Trust is inviting local community members to help collect seagrass seeds at Seaview and play a hands-on role in bringing back a wilder, healthier Solent.

Our Campaign Leader Programme can help you build the skills, confidence and experience needed to become a powerful advocate for the natural world. The programme will take just a couple of hours of your time each week.

Do you currently belong to a community group that you think could be doing more for nature? Or would you like to set up a group in your local area, but don't know where to start? As a Wilder Community Leader, the Trust will support and guide you through your wilder journey. This is not an official Trust volunteer role; this is something that you will lead on and the Trust will support where we can.
