About the event

You will spend the morning discovering just how incredibly diverse the grassland within a churchyard can be. We'll learn to recognise some common plant families and practice identifying a range of wildflowers using plant ID guides.

We'll take a look at several other habitats that can often be found in churchyards and in other community green spaces including hedgerows and ancient trees.

We'll then discuss various ways in which a churchyard and community green space can be managed to enhance this biodiversity.

The course will involve a lot of bending or kneeling to look at plants.
