About the event
Join us for a guided walk at Arreton Down Nature Reserve in the summer, when this spectacular chalk grassland is at its very best. With its sweeping views over the Eastern Yar Valley, the reserve bursts into life in summer, with wildflowers in bloom and butterflies filling the air — including the iconic chalkhill blue, often seen in impressive numbers.
We will explore the rich mosaic of habitats that make Arreton Down so special, uncovering the diverse plants, insects and birdlife that thrive here. From colourful orchids and thyme-covered slopes to skylarks singing overhead, there is always something to discover.
