About the event

This varied walk begins in Martin’s Wood, a great place to see a variety of butterflies, solitary bees, and red squirrels. We will take the path down the steep slope to the fishing lake, and the Eastern Yar river, where we hope to be introducing beavers. We will then walk across the main Newchurch Moors site where we can see some of the floodplain restoration works we have been carrying out in recent months. We will proceed along the cycle track and back round along the right of way towards Hill Farm and returning to Martin’s Wood.

Please note that this walk includes some steep hills and uneven ground, and does not always follow public footpaths. Regrettably the walk will therefore not be suitable for those with restricted mobility. Please also note that no dogs will be allowed on this walk.
