About the event

Join us as we explore the seasons and wildlife of Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve, at our regular session of stories and outdoor activities for pre-school children and their parents and carers.

This month we will be learning about the wonderful world of frogs and ponds starting with a welcome craft and story indoors before we head outside to explore outdoors. This time we will be heading to the pond* to discover all the wonderful water wildlife we can find there. We will be using nets to dip and sweep in the pond with trays and guides to help us identify all our fascinating finds. Afterwards we will finish with a frog themed outdoor activity or game.

Online booking is essential - bookings close at 1pm on Monday 13th April. You only need to book spaces for the children in you party.

* Please note all children will require close adult supervision around the pond edge. This activity might not be suitable for children that are unable to sit and stay in one spot for the duration of the pond dip, which will be between 30-45 minutes long.
