About the event

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust has many different job roles. Are you at the start of your journey, wondering what to do as a career? Why not join a taster day and discover what some of these roles are like. These taster days are an opportunity to gain valuable experience within the wildlife conservation sector. Each day has different tasks and activities that staff across the Trust would do typically.

Along the way learn skills and knowledge to build your career path. Add this taster day to your CV, demonstrating that you have volunteered your time with the Trust and gained valuable experience.

This day will be held at Beechcroft House, our head office. An opportunity to see different teams across the Trust. In the morning you will support the Ecology team with a moth trap, learning how to identify moths and finding out some of the different survey methods used. In the afternoon you will explore different roles across the Trust by understanding some of the admin tasks associated with these roles including RAs. We will then finish the day outside and do some invertebrate and plant ID.

This taster day is for 16 to 18yrs of age.
