New Forest Police issued the following statement earlier today: “Officers searching for a missing 15-year-old boy who was last seen swimming in water at Testwood Lakes, including those from our Marine Unit, have sadly now located a body. The boy’s family have been informed, and formal identification has taken place. His family are being supported by specially trained officers. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”

Testwood Lakes Nature Reserve remains closed to the public until further notice. We urge people to avoid the area – please do not attempt to visit the nature reserve at this time.
