Joy was elected as a Trustee at our Annual General Meeting in October 2025, before being subsequently confirmed as the Trust’s Chair by our governing Council.

During Joy’s time as Chair, the Trust continued to grow its impact for local wildlife, with highlights including the acquisition of a new nature reserve at Court House Meadows and an increase in membership to almost 30,000.

Following Joy’s decision to step down, long-serving Vice-Chair, Oliver Cox, becomes Acting Chair of the Trust.

Oliver (Olly), who has worked for many years in a number of executive roles at Vodafone, is a very keen local wildlife enthusiast and champion for engaging people with nature. He lives in the South Downs with his family.
