The Solent is a truly special place, with huge value for people and animals alike. Unfortunately these two sides of the sea aren't always in balance, and right now our marine wildlife is struggling to cope with the pressure of human activity.

We often think of the sea as 'out there' and removed from our lives on land, but in reality the opposite is true. The vast majority of rubbish and pollution in our oceans comes from terrestrial sources, and our everyday actions can have an enormous impact. This means that even small lifestyle changes can make a real difference if we join forces.
