Community invited to share memories of Fishlake Meadows

We're inviting people in the local community to share their old photos of Fishlake Meadows

Staff looking after the new nature reserve hope that the images will help reveal vital information about the landscape and habitats at this wildlife haven over years gone by. This can then help inform the efforts of the team and volunteers to look after the wildlife there today. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust also hopes to use these historic photos as to celebrate the heritage of the site in future projects.

Anyone with photos they are happy to share for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust to use are encouraged to email scans or copies to Reserves Officer Jo Armson on jo.armson@hiwwt.org.uk.

Jo Armson, Wildlife Trust Reserves Officer said: “Fishlake Meadows has long been a much-loved wild place, but we know it’s evolved quite a lot over the years. We’d love to see any images local people have of the landscape and habitats there, which would help us understand more about how it’s changed.”
