How much of your donation goes towards supporting local wildlife

We believe you should always know exactly where your money goes. That’s why we’re open and transparent about any fees taken from donations.

For payments made through our donate, appeal and membership pages, the only fee deducted is a payment processing fee.

Online payments are processed securely through Stripe, who charge a processing fee of 1.5% of the total payment value plus 20p per transaction. This fee is deducted directly from your payment.

What this means in practice

Here’s an example of how your donation is used. If you donate £10 and choose to add Gift Aid, we would receive:

• Your donation: £10.00
• Payment processing fee (1.5% + 20p): −£0.35
• Gift Aid: +£2.50

Total received: £12.15

Helping your donation go further

On some donate, appeal and membership pages, you may also see the option to add £1.00 to help cover payment processing fees. This is completely optional and helps ensure more of your payment goes directly to supporting local wildlife.
