About the event
Isle of Wight marine biologist and award-winning underwater photographer Theo Vickers will be giving a talk on discovering the marine natural history of the Isle of Wight, exploring his photography and scientific research. Learn about capturing the island’s marine biodiversity on camera, Theo’s work in local marine biological recording and his PhD research exploring the lives of sharks and rays in the waters of the Isle of Wight!
This event forms part of our engagement work for the Solent Seascape Project, an innovative marine project supported by the Endangered Landscapes and Seascapes Programme and East Head Impact. The project is about restoring four of the Solent’s most important habitats: seagrass meadows, oyster reefs, saltmarsh and seabird nesting habitats.
