Sensational Swift Walk & Talk

Location:
Bishop's Waltham, Lower Lane Car Park, Bishop's Waltham, Hampshire
Our annual swift walk around Bishop's Waltham and talk with Ady Smith is back!

Join us for a guided evening walk around Bishop’s Waltham with Ady Smith, our local swift expert who has been working to increase swift numbers in the town for over 20 years. These incredible birds spend the majority of their lives airborne, feeding, sleeping and mating in the air, landing only to breed.

Swifts are summer migrants, flying to the UK each summer to breed and spending the rest of the year in sub-Saharan Africa. Ady will also be updating us on two new projects in Bishop's Waltham, sand martins and house martins. Please bring binoculars if you have them.

This walk will mostly be on hard-surface paths and is therefore suitable for all abilities.

Under 18s are free, as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.

Our apologies, but no dogs on this walk, unless assistance.

£4 per ticket (under 18s free, no need to book)
