Open Chalk Streams: Amport
About the event
Join us for a guided walk around Amport Trout Fishery, a small local business with a peaceful fishing lake, a stretch of chalk stream, and interesting heritage features. You'll learn how the groundwater-fed lake is managed, and about the many flowers, invertebrates, and micro-habitats found along the stream.
This event is part of Open Chalk Streams, a project within the Watercress and Winterbournes Landscape Partnership Scheme. We're protecting, enhancing, and celebrating the Rivers Test and Itchen headwaters - learn more.
