About the event

School grounds are valuable places for wildlife and make amazing spaces for learning. This course will help you learn some of the key species which might be living on your school grounds and how to use keys and guidebooks to identify them. We’ll give you tips on the best resources to use with your class and the confidence to work with them to identify the species you find.

During this course you will:

  • Discover the different species which may be living on your school grounds
  • Build confidence in identifying them using identification keys
  • Get tips on how to work with your class to identify different species and how to integrate this into your curriculum teaching

At the end of this course you will receive a summary of the points discussed and a digital copy of our Wildlife in School Grounds booklet
