About the event

We will provide the equipment and demonstrate how to dip safely from a suitable distance, then leave you to discover the fabulous freshwater life lurking in the weedy depths of the pond.

Suitable for individual or small groups of adults interested in wildlife or a lovely way to spend time as a family. Bookings are for one bubble at a time to enable social distancing (up to a maximum of 6 people).

Clean, disinfected, equipment will be provided for each session.

When booking you will be asked to read and agree to our Covid-19 secure guidelines. For further details about how we will keep you and our staff and volunteers safe whilst pond dipping please email BlashfordLakes@hiwwt.org.uk for a copy of our risk assessment.

Children will at all times be the responsibility of the accompanying adult(s). Once we've got you started we will leave you to it, but we will be on hand to help you with the identification of your catch.

The session duration is one hour and the cost dependant on the number of participants.

Please make sure you pay the correct price for the size of your party (adults and children): £12 for up to 3 people or £17 for up to 6 people

Please note the Education Centre remains closed to visitors - hand washing facilities will be available by the pond but please bring a towel for drying your hands afterwards. We are currently providing two portaloo's for use by visitors at the front of the Centre.
