About the event

We will provide the equipment and demonstrate how to find minibeasts in a suitable distance, then leave you to discover the marvellous mininbeasts hiding in the woods. Then you can go on the minibeast trail & see if you can find the 10 minibeasts (pics) & find out more about them.  

Bookings are for one bubble at a time to enable social distancing (up to a maximum of 5 people) and clean equipment will be provided for each participating group taking part over the course of the day. When booking you will be asked to read and agree to our covid secure guidelines. For further details about how we will keep you, your family and our staff and volunteers safe whilst minibeasting please email craig.whitelock@hiwwt.org.uk for a copy of our risk assessment.

Children will at all times be the responsibility of the accompanying adult(s), once we've got you started we will leave you to it, but be on hand to help with any identifying.

Sessions are available on a Friday for an hour, starting at either 10am, 11.30am, or 1.30pm. Session cost depends on the number of participants per group, please make sure you pay the correct price for the size of your group (includes adults and children) when booking. Prices are £12 for up to 3 people or £15 for up to 5 people.

What to bring

Please wear outdoor clothes including long sleeves and trousers and sturdy shoes or boots and be prepared for wet weather. Temporary Shelter will be provided for poor weather conditions. Please bring a pencil to complete the trail
