How we are funded

A movement backed by people

Our vision is for a wilder Hampshire and Isle of Wight where wildlife thrives, not just survives — where nature connects communities, rebuilds resilience and helps both people and planet flourish.

Our strategy sets out how we will drive nature’s recovery and create lasting change for people and planet. Delivering that ambition is only possible thanks to the generosity and commitment of those who stand with us.

Our work is made possible by a growing community of supporters, including members, donors and those who choose to leave a gift in their Will, alongside charitable trusts and grant-making organisations, public bodies and businesses.

Thank you to all our supporters for making a huge difference to local wildlife and wild places.

Income & Expenditure

The Trust has a diverse funding mix ranging from traditional land management funding such as Countryside Stewardship and Agri-Environment schemes to membership income and fundraising including grants, gifts in Wills and donations.

We are committed to our two parallel income generation strategies: fundraising and nature-based solutions, in order to deliver our ambitious and essential goals for nature’s recovery. Our financial strategy aims to achieve a sustainable operating model which has long-term resilience over the next four years to achieve the impact outlined in our Wilder 2030 strategy.

The charts below provide a summary of our income and expenditure for the financial year 2024/25. For a detailed breakdown of our finances, including financial statements, governance information, and project highlights, please see our latest Annual Report.
