Our local wildlife and wild spaces are under threat from increasing development, climate change, pollution, increasing industrial activity and intensive agricultural farming, in fact, 60% of all UK wildlife is declining! Could you use your passion for nature and persuasive personality to inspire members of the public to support our work? Our Membership Recruiters sign up new members to HIWWT at venues across Hampshire such as garden centres, supermarkets, shops, shows, events and festivals all booked by our in-house team.
These are permanent employed roles with fantastic pay ranging from £10 (enhanced basic) with an average hourly rate of £12.50 to £16.50 per hour, rising to £20-£30 per hour (commission + bonus / uncapped) achieved by our most successful staff. We’re looking for regular weekly working but with flexibility, typically 2-4 days including some weekend days, to reflect highest footfall. Other benefits include travel expenses (40p/mile) and a pension scheme; full training and support provided.
This role is ideal for someone with a real passion for wildlife looking to make a significant difference to the plight of local nature. Someone who is not afraid to approach members of the public and use their persuasive abilities and wildlife knowledge to sign up new members. You may be looking for more flexibility in your working life and have a desire to ‘put something back’ into the community whilst also looking for real job satisfaction.
