We want to inspire a love of nature in the next generation.

Our Wilder Lives programme helps children discover and connect with the amazing natural world around them.

Children and young people should have the chance to have unforgettable experiences exploring and discovering nature. A hands-on connection with nature gives a much better understanding of the environment, as well as being fun!

We can expand a child’s education experience so that they value wildlife today and protect it tomorrow.

Online educational sessions

We offer online educational sessions for all ages, from 'Living things and their habitats' for Key Stage 2 children through to freshwater invertebrate identification for degree students. The sessions are interactive and include opportunity for discussion and questions. We are also able to use our digital microscope to enhance the sessions by being able to look closely at, for example, a tray containing a river sample complete with living creatures. An hour session costs £50 and includes access to our PowerPoint slides and follow up information.

For more information on which activities can be carried out, please contact the Outreach Education Team on outreach@hiwwt.org.uk.

Safeguarding and Child Protection

We take child protection and safeguarding very seriously. Our Child Protection and Safeguarding Statement sets out how we implement child protection and safeguarding across the Wildlife Trust and who to contact if you have questions or concerns.
