You can help us stop the spread of non-native plants in a number of ways:

1. Report any non-native species that you spot

2. Find alternatives to introducing non-native plants

3. Be Plant Wise

  • Visit Be Plant Wise for information about invasive garden pond plants and composting with care.
4. Check, clean and dry

  • You can help prevent the spread of invasive species from one body of water to another with three simple steps:

    1. Check your equipment and clothing for living organisms. Pay particular attention to areas that are damp or hard to inspect.

    2. Clean and wash all equipment, footwear and clothes thoroughly. If you do come across any organisms, leave them at the water body where you found them.

    3. Dry all equipment and clothing. Some species can live for many days in moist conditions. Make sure you don't transfer water elsewhere.
