Welcome to the Hampshire Amphibian and Reptile Recording Network webpages. Here you can find out more about amphibian and reptile conservation in Hampshire & Isle of Wight, home to 12 out of 13 of the UK’s native amphibians and reptiles.

Hampshire Amphibian and Reptile Recording Network (HARRN) is coordinated by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and is affiliated to ARG UK . HARRN aims to record, monitor and survey Biodiversity Action Plan species to ensure they are conserved and protected. Submitting records is vital to this work, you can find more about how to submit your sightings here.

HARRN is a virtual network and mailing list, to join the network and receive e-mails and updates on surveys and amphibian and reptile recording, please e-mail feedback@hiwwt.org.uk with “HARRN” in the subject box.

Herpetofauna Report

An atlas style report, based on all the records submitted to HARRN between 2006 and 2016. The report shows the distribution of amphibians and reptiles in Hampshire and contains summary information about each species. The report, is also available to download here
