Education volunteering involves assisting with a variety of outdoor and environmental education activities, with children and adults of all ages

This volunteer role would suit anyone who is keen to share their enthusiasm for wildlife and for the outdoors. You will need to enjoy working with children and being outside in all weathers. A DBS check may be required for this role.

A quote from an education volunteer

"I hope you realise how much I have enjoyed working with you and contributing something to your educational programme. I have learnt a lot from it as well. I now provide my grandchildren with card with a sticky tape on it so that they can collect things from the garden and stick them on! Thanks to you!

I remember with pleasure the trip to the watercress beds where we had a surprise visit from the owl at the end and bags of watercress to bring home with us!

I also remember the students from Southampton University: they were foreign students. One came from Uruguay which I visited when I was 19 to stay with a school friend whose family had an estancia. I could produce the name (with correct pronunciation because I had been taught it) and she was able to tell me that it was now one of the premier wine making estancias in the country.

Anyhow, thank you for having me as a very part-time volunteer and very best wishes for the future: yours and the Trusts.
