Bouldnor Forest

A peaceful nature reserve on the Isle of Wight’s Heritage Coast within an area of outstanding natural beauty. Its 105 hectares comprise a variety of habitats, including heathland, ponds, conifer plantation and mature woodland.

The reserve is well known for its strong population of red squirrels and the Bouldnor Battery, an ancient monument which also lives on the site. The coastal footpath which leads to the little beach offers wonderful views and is a good place for fossil hunting.
