Promoting Wildlife in your Garden
30 July 2012
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and Hambrooks have come together in a unique partnership to help promote wildlife awareness to the local community.
After approaching the Wildlife Trust with their initial idea, Hambrooks agreed to dedicate a part of their retail shop at their Landscape Garden Centre site in Titchfield, to goods that encourage birds, insects and other wildlife into our gardens.
Designing colourful and informative display material, Hambrooks worked closely with the Wildlife Trust to create products and wildlife facts for the displayed goods to provide practical guidelines and tips for customers.
Natalie Rogers of the Hampshire Wildlife Trust said, “We saw this as a great opportunity to encourage people who visit garden centres to think more about the wildlife in their gardens. We are very happy to be working with Hambrooks who are so proactive in helping us to spread our message and who are showing such commitment as a Wildlife Investor of the Trust.”
Hambrooks Manager, Kevin Clare said, “ We are very keen to promote wildlife gardening and already mark our plants that attract bees with colourful signs so this new initiative for our bird care and wildlife shop goods works very well for both parties.”
