Faccombe Woodland to Kingsclere Downs

Old Burghclere Lime Quarry

The Faccombe Woods to Kingsclere Downs Living Landscape covers a tranquil area of rolling chalk downland.

Orchid by Susan SimmondsNationally declining wildlife such as willow tit, Duke of Burgundy butterfly and rare arable flora are still present in the area, helped in part by the active management of farmland and woodland.

With your support, and through continued working with our many project partners, we aim to continue to improve management of key habitats, protect species and create bigger, better and more joined-up habitats for wildlife.
